Introducing Hope Spector, LPC-MHSP

By David Pearl, LCSW

Hello! My name is Hope Spector, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Service Provider designation (LPC-MHSP) in the state of Tennessee. I support my clients’ personal growth to live happier and more fulfilling lives by catering each session to meet my client’s individual needs and working with them as a team. I believe we are all capable of becoming our best selves by developing the tools we need to thrive and live our best lives. I am excited to join the Music City Psych team and to help you grow, learn, and achieve your personal life and treatment goals.

In 2017 I obtained dual Master’s degrees from La Salle University in Professional Clinical Counseling and Widener University in Human Sexuality. In 2013 I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in Human Development and Family Studies with double minors in Human Sexuality and Gender Studies. My expertise spans working with children, teens, and adults, though I currently focus on adult individual therapy.

I have experience in helping people with a variety of concerns and goals. This includes, but is not limited to: anxiety and stress, depression, trauma, intimacy and relationships, LGBTQIA+ related issues, self-esteem, grief and loss, life changes and adjustments, eating disorders, OCD-related issues, anger management, ADHD, and motivation. I integrate different therapeutic approaches that align with my clients’ unique needs, goals, and preferences. I have experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), strengths-based approaches, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.

My therapeutic style is warm, interactive, supportive, and goal-oriented. I strive to create an open, safe, and nonjudgmental space for my clients so they feel empowered to explore themselves and work toward living their best lives.

I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, Nashville’s vibrant live music scene, watching Bravo TV, experimenting with new cooking recipes, and seeing the latest horror movies.

I entered this profession to empower individuals to tackle life’s hurdles, discover themselves, and develop tools that elevate their quality of life. I am here to support, guide, and work collaboratively with you. If you are seeking assistance or have questions about the therapeutic process, please do not hesitate to reach out. I look forward to working together to chart your path forward.
